Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – During his Kharij-e-Fiqh class in Qom’s Grand mosque, Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, a senior Shia cleric, addressed the seminary students on the recent incidents in Bahrain.

The cleric condemned the Bahraini Regime’s measures in oppressing its people and religious scholars saying, “Recently, Al Khalifah rulers have decided to increase their inhumane oppressive measures against the people of Bahrain including Shaykh Isa Qasim, the leader of Bahraini Shia Muslims.”

Warning Al Khalifah about the consequences of their atrocities against Bahraini Shias, the Grand Ayatollah said, “You must learn your lesson by looking at what happened to dictators like Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the former Shah of Iran and Libya’s overthrown dictator Muammar Gadhafi, the same fate might be awaiting you to answer for the innocent lives you have taken.”
